About

Raising awareness by creating tools to promote social cohesion through sharing the cultural heritage of forced migrations.

Project Outcomes

The project created four digital tools that can facilitate encounters between similar life stories in order to improve social cohesion and combat refugee marginalization:

  • Interactive story map: links forced displacements itineraries to create a dialogue between the local societies’ memories and the present-day experiences, in a comparative way.
  • Web documentary: builds immersive multimedia experiences, enhancing the potential to create empathy and emotional storytelling.
  • Participatory virtual exhibition: a platform that aims to offer versatility to cultural institutions and to promote a collaborative approach through crowdsourcing initiatives, empowering communities to share heritage elements in selected exhibitions.
  • Memory Center Platform: a repository of heritages, testimonies, experiences, and narratives around the phenomena of displacement and forced migration.
