About
Insights into migration decision-making and policy processes.
Project Outcomes
Migration narratives are often one-sided, misrepresent the true nature of migration, and largely disregard migrant agency.
Researchers shouldcommunicate their insights directly to the general public based on a long-term vision of migration as a global phenomenonrather than a ‘problem to be solved’ or a ‘solution to problems’.
Closing the knowledge-policy gap on migration requires an in-depth understanding of the politics of knowledge, i.e. the power dynamics that characterize (migration) research and policymaking, and the various roles that knowledge plays in the policymaking process.
