About

Integration strategies to support the empowerment of young vulnerable migrants.

Project Outcomes

  • The concept of ‘liquid integration’  indicates that migration is a dynamic process where both migrants and receiving societies should be actively involved.
  • To improve integration policies, it is fundamental to acknowledge existing differences between young migrants. What might work for one individual or group might not work for another.
  • In particular, young migrants living in urban and rural settings have different integration experiences.
  • Small, more familiar networks in less populated areas can help some migrants overcome difficulties. For others, these settings can be isolating and offer fewer opportunities.
